Welcome to Devin's English Café!
We opened in January,2008 with the philosophy that students of English learn best when they're involved in determining the pace, content, style, and direction of their studies, following the trail blazed by their own curiosity.
Other English schools offer cookie-cutter programs incapable of adapting to individual students. They throw English at students without considering how or what they want to learn.
We ask, "where do you want to go and how would you like to get there?" Does your destination involve passing a test, teaching English yourself, traveling abroad, just having fun, or something else? Tell me where you want to go and we’ll get there as quickly as possible.
Whether you want to learn how to order a meal in a restaurant, master the difference between "watch," "look," and "see," or perfect your "l" and "r" pronunciation, we can make it happen. Keep a diary, read newspaper articles, role-play practical situations, take a walk around the block and describe the neighborhood, focus on grammar, talk about your daily life, talk about culture…the options are almost limitless, as is your potential to learn English.

デビンズ・イングリッシュ・カフェは、英語学習のペース・内容・スタイル・方向性の決定においては生徒さん自身が参加するのがベストだという理念のもと、生徒さんたちの英語への意欲が先駆けとなり、2008年の1月にオープンしました。
生徒さんがどのように、また何を学びたいかを配慮することなく、個々の生徒さんにはあてはまらない型どおりのプログラムを提供する他のスクールもあるでしょう。
デビンズ・イングリッシュ・カフェでは生徒さんにまず聞きます。「どの方向へすすみ、どのようにそこへ到達したいのか？」 あなたの英語学習の目的は、テストに合格するため？生徒に英語を教えるため？海外旅行？英語学習が趣味？それとも何かほかの目的が…？ どこへ向かいたいのかをぜひ教えてください。できるだけ早く到達しようじゃないですか。
